What is Teleophora?

Teleophora is a project by Michael Thomas, created to re-enchant the everyday, to make the world more luminous and help people attune to transcendent experiences woven into daily life. Through immersive sound, Teleophora invites participants into moments of deep presence, where stillness, resonance, and subtle perception awaken a felt sense of the sacred. It is both a practice and a provocation: to listen more deeply, to feel more fully, and to rediscover the wonder that surrounds us.

Michael’s approach begins with therapeutic sound experiences grounded in the body. These sessions are designed to harmonize the physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of being; offering a gentle but profound reconnection to self and environment. While many sessions emphasize grounding and inner alignment, others explore more esoteric territory: immersive journeys that engage the sensed but unseen, evoking mystery, awe, and sometimes discomfort. Each experience is crafted to meet the participant where they are, with the potential to gently stretch the boundaries of perception.

Michael Thomas is an anthropologist and sound practitioner who serves on the executive board of the Society for Anthropological Sciences and teaches anthropology part-time at Wayne State University. He also leads a consulting team dedicated to helping organizations create more meaningful and resonant experiences. Across all of his work, he is guided by a commitment to integrating science and spirituality, grounding insight in both rigor and reverence.
